Aide for Animals

No-Kill, Adoption Center, Assisted Living & Retirement Home

History

For over 40 years we have shared our lives with unwanted cats and dogs.  In 1990 we built our little shelter for unwanted cats.  Now years later we have approximately 110 residents.  We do require that any new residents get utd on shots, be spay/neutered and are not contagious yet otherwise healthy.

We give medication when needed and help others with spaying and neutering when funding permits. Quite often someone finds a newborn kitten or a discarded animal and we get a call, other times we rescue.

In order to find the best home for our “children” we have an extensive adoption application which includes references and home visit.  If an animal isn’t lucky enough to be adopted into a loving home, they will stay with us.   We gladly nurse that animal, make sure it is vetted, give that animal love and attention and a cozy and secure home.  They are God’s children too, and deserve a good life.

For the safety of all animals, no cat or dog is allowed to join the others or to be adopted out until they have been evaluated, vetted, spayed or neutered and are up to date on shots.
