| About us .... (Pictures may take a few seconds to download) Mission Statement Our Mission is to provide life long shelter, medical treatment and loving care to healthy unwanted animals, whether juvenile, geriatric or disabled, to promote a responsible and humane attitude toward all creatures, to encourage spay/neuter as population control, and to end animal neglect and cruelty in any form. * * * * * * We are a small, charitable no-kill, non-profit 501(C)(3) organization with a big heart, fully committed to the responsibility of giving these once unwanted animals a safe and loving home. We thank God for our many blessings and for giving us the opportunity to help these animals. We can't imagine our lives without them. Organization History For over 40 years we have shared our lives with unwanted cats and dogs. In 1990 we built our little shelter for unwanted cats. Now years later we have approximately 140 residents. We do require that any new residents get utd on shots, be spay/neutered and are not contageous yet otherwise healthy. We give medication when needed and help with spaying and neutering when funding permits. Quite often someone finds a newborn kitten or a discarded animal and we get a call, other times we rescue. In order to find the best home for our "children" we have an extensive adoption application which includes references and home visit. If an animal isn't lucky enough to be adopted into a loving home, they will stay with us. We gladly nurse that animal, make sure it is vetted, give that animal love and attention and a cozy and secure home. They are God's children too, and deserve a good life. We generally have anywhere from 18 to 24 dogs in residence. For the safety of all animals, no cat or dog is allowed to join the others until they have been evaluated, vetted, spayed or neutered and are up to date on shots.
